One goal for this blog is to share growing older with grace and joy. Sometimes that’s harder than others. It means accepting the wonders of life at the same time as realizing that my time on earth has a finite limit. The presence of good friends makes it easier to live in grace and feel the joy of every day.
Loren recently came over with a present for me. It’s this neat thermometer for out on our porch walls.

That’s not all. Loren knows Dave and me very well. About the only thing we had to hang this up was one of those 3M plastic hooks with the sticky back. And I’m not sure it would have stuck on the textured vinyl siding. Loren is super thoughtful and he knows darn well that if we didn’t get this hung up right then it might have sat on the cupboard for another week or two

That is what you call a very good friend. Friends like this give my life joy and add grace to every day.
